Heron Class Blog

In Heron class we have been writing newspaper reports and our own finding stories. The children were able to use parenthesis and relative clauses in their writing as well as including some gruesome description about King Tut's murder!

In Maths we have focused on number and place value and have recently started our addition topic. The children enjoyed working with negative numbers demonstrating this by making their own giant number line in the Key Stage 2 corridor.

In our Paragon lessons the focus has been on the Egyptian civilisation. We have learnt why agriculture was so important to ancient Egyptians, as well as how people were organised into a social hierarchy. The children have been able to compare our own modern day civilisation to the Ancient Egyptian civilisation and enjoyed building Egyptian homes out of different resources in school such as Lego and multi link.
