We have done some remarkable writing in Year 6 this half-term! We began our writing journey by creating descriptive poems titled ‘The Sand Beneath My Feet,’ which  were inspired by exploring the texture and look of sand. We then went on to learn and develop the story of Arkhenseth - a blood-thirsty warrior who was out for revenge against the Pharaoh! Finally, we concluded this half-term by turning the murder depicted in the story into an exciting news report.

In Paragon we have been studying Ancient Egypt and thinking about the question “how do we unlock mysteries of a civilisation”. We have been exploring how archaeological digs happen and the process of keeping artefacts intact. We have also been making our own bas relief tablet to explain a small portion of what life was like in Ancient Egypt!

We are now looking forward to learning about Ancient Rome!
